Pima Valve manufactures a wide array of Navy and Commercial Multi-Turn Valves in a variety of materials and sizes. We currently offer the following pressure classes: 100#, 150#, 250#, 300#, and 400#. Although we furnish a majority of our valves in Bronze material, Pima can also supply Aluminum-Bronze, Ductile Iron, Cast Iron, Cast Steel, Aluminum, and Copper-Nickel castings. Commercial Gates, Globes/Angles and Swing Checks are available in the ¾”-24” sizes. Our Navy 100 PSI Gate valves are offered in the 1”-12” size, Navy 250 PSI Gate valves in the 2”-14” size, and Navy 400 PSI Gate valves in the 1”-4” size. We can supply various internal and external coating to meet our customer’s specifications and increase the life span of the valve. These coatings provide an extra layer of protection when the valve is subjected to harsh environments, chemicals, or liquids that made erode the functioning parts of the valve. We can supply EPDM (rubber), ETFE (DuPont Teflon), Fusion Bonded Epoxies (Scotchkote 134), and Ceramic Based coatings (Belzona 1391 & 2141), as well as Tungston Carbide Thermal coatings which is used in many of our Navy gate valves.

Most of our valves can be actuated with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric actuators. In addition, most of our valves can and have been modified to include position indicators and /or limit switches as well as gear box operators.

Pima Valve does much more than supply “off the shelf” standard products. Sometimes our customers ask for valves that are unique and specific to an application. More often than not, we can meet those needs. Some examples of our custom capabilities are:

Coatings Data

Sulzer Metco 5803 is a Tungsten Carbide coating that is corrosion and abrasion resistant. Applied with High Velocity Oxy-Fuel (HVOF) torch, it is approved for used by the US Navy under MIL-STD-1687. It is suitable as hard chrome replacement for temperatures up to 930°F (500°C), and performs particularly well in salt-water environments.
Stellite Hardfacing is a Nickle-Chrome alloy used to protect high-wear components. This facing is suitable for highly corrosive environments and high temperatures, such as deep-sea, sour service, and steam applications. The Stellite family of products has a long established history in ship building and petro-chemical industries.
Pima Valve has developed manufacturing practices and coating procedures to accommodate internal coating of our valves, as specified by our customers. This cutting edge coating technology provides an extra layer of protection when the valve is subjected to harsh environments, chemicals, or liquids that may artificially erode the working life span of our valves. We have worked with EPDM (rubber), Fusion Bonded Epoxies, and Ceramic Based coatings to line our valves, at our customer’s request. Pima Valve is continuing to expand our use if internal linings and products that best meet our customer’s requirements for service. Here are some examples of products we have used to coat the interior or our valves.

Scotchkote 134 fusion bonded epoxy coating is a one part, heat curable, thermosetting epoxy coating designed for corrosion protection of metal. The epoxy is applied to preheated steel as a dry powder which melts and cures to a uniform, coating thickness. This bonding process provides excellent adhesion and coverage on applications such as valves, pumps, pipe drains, hydrants and porous castings. Scotchkote 134 FBEC assistant to waste water, corrosive soils, hydrocarbons, harsh chemicals and sea water. Powder properties allow easy manual or automatic application by electrostatic or air – spray equipment. When applied over a suitable primer, it is appropriate for operation at moderate temperatures and pressures in the presence of H2O, CO2 and CH4, crude oil and brine.

Scotchkote 134 FBEC has been used extensively in the oil and gas industry to coat the exterior and interior of line pipe. Over 40,000 miles (65,000 km) of Scotchkote coated pipe have been installed throughout the world. This technology has been expanded through 3M research to develop chemically stable, high temperature/pressure resistant internal linings for use in drill pipe, primary and secondary recovery tubing, and pipe for oil, gas and water transportation. Coating properties have been proven by rigorous 3M autoclave testing, and the results verified by independent laboratory and customer investigation.

Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) is a thermoplastic copolymer derived from the polymerization of ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene (Teflon®) monomers. These materials are extremely tough and abrasion-resistant having excellent chemical resistance and continuous operating temperatures up to 150°C (300°F). ETFE is also an excellent electrical insulator and has good nonstick and low friction properties. The Teflon® 532-63xx ETFE coatings listed above represent a new, improved formulation of ETFE resins. All of the ETFE coatings listed above are now suitable for food contact end uses.Using appropriate product combinations, coating systems are now available for use in a wide variety of applications ranging from thin-film systems (75–250 um [3–10 mil]) for service involving abrasion resistance or mild chemical service,to thick film systems (up to 1300 um [50 mil]) for linings where excellent chemical protection is required. Thick-film Teflon® ETFE coatings have been improved for application in thicker films per coat and for better sag resistance when approaching the final thickness. The application technique involves a spray-and-bake procedure whereby multiple coats, sprayed and baked individually, are used to achieve the desired final film thickness. The resulting finish is tough, seamless, and without pinholes—perfect for applications in harsh chemical environments.

Belzona 1391 (Ceramic HT) is a two component high temperature coating system designed to operate under continuous immersion of up to 248 Degrees Ferinheight (120 Degrees Celsius). This Blezona product provides excellent erosion-corrosion resistance at elevated temperature. Belzona 1391 (Ceramic HT) is:


  • Cold temperature cure ensures no fire risk
  • Suitable for contract with hot (85 Degrees Celsius) potable water
  • Good electrical insulation characteristics


  • Bonds Strongly to most rigid substrates
  • High adhesion maintained over full service temperature range

Belzona 2141 (ACR Elastomer System) is an elastomer system designed for coating applications subject to extremely high localized pressures created by cavitation and erosion. This versatile liquid applied material retains adhesion under long term immersion and dissipates energy created under medium to high intensity cavitation conditions. Belzona 2141 can be applied as either a one or two coat system by brush or applicator to most commons surfaces such as metals, alloys, natural and synthetic rubbers, fiberglass and composites.
